Chemical Engineer graduated from the university of Gent in Belgium in 1982. Worked for Hyprotech and then Aspentech for the last 15 years with a strong focus on process simulation. In my job I communicate with the sales people, prospective customers and customers to show the value of Aspentech's modelling software. These communications range from PowerPoint only to detailed explanation of the functionality and use of the software. Post sales activities frequently include support on customer initial projects or support on problems that could not be solved by the regular support team. • Dynamic modelling (Genesis Oil&Gas, Shell, Exxon, FMC Kongsberg, BP) • Demonstrate feasibility of using dynamic modelling to set up and tune an APC like DMC+. • Training of Aspentech internal Services teams • Development the HYSYS CCC surge controller extension and various other extensions for steady state and dynamic simulation • Introduce HYSYS best practices at Linde AG, Germany for simulating ethylene plants.
