I am a retired Mathematics teacher. I was born in Cairo, Egypt, and brought up there until the Suez crisis of 1956. I was educated in Scotland. I live in Wales.

I taught in independent schools in England and later taught in the Middle East. I took a degree in Mathematics at Edinburgh University.

I don't have any special expertise in any particular area. My interest lie in literature, the visual arts, and in history.
