I am an Australian living in New Zealand.

I hold an Honours degree in economics from the University of New England, and I have worked as a public sector economist in Australia and New Zealand since 1996. In economics, my interests include transport, competition law and policy, public choice, the history of economic thought and economic methodology.

Other than economics, my interests include music (classical, pop, rock and blues), history (ancient and modern European, Australian and New Zealand), art, literature, languages, politics, astronomy, cricket and rugby. I also dabble now and then in electronics and computer programming.
