I have been working in the media industry since February 1997. From starting off in UK media research, I’m now the Head of Digital at Initiative Futures Worldwide, with the goal of helping advertisers away from shouting irrelevant, interruptive messages at people because, increasingly, technology means they don’t have to listen. To this end, in 2005 I set up an international community of our company’s digital experts and aficionados, called the deCODErs, to encourage sharing and collaboration between our offices around the world.

My main area of interest is new technology, but I wouldn’t particularly describe myself as an Innovator. I am, however, very inquisitive and won’t stop until I completely understand something; a curse and a blessing.

I’m an Italian Londoner, living with my husband in Lewisham. Food and family are my passions. I have a Natural Sciences degree from Cambridge University, England, which was a bit of a traumatic leap from an inner London comprehensive, but I’m OK now. Really.
