My name is Robert T DeMarco and I am a CareGiver by choice. For those of you unfamiliar with the term "caregiver" it means someone who is responsible for the care and well being of another. In my case, my 90 year old mother who has Alzheimer's. I was a CareGiver for more than two years before I ever heard the term. In the three years I have been doing this I learned that there are millions of us spread across the U.S. and the world. This might surprise you; forty-one percent of us are male.

I have a series of Blogs including The CareGiver Weblog, I AM an Alzheimer's CareGiver, and The Robert T DeMarco Weblog. Some of you might remember me when I wrote about investments and crimes against children on Blog Critics and other websites.

In the past I taught at a major university (the University of Georgia ), worked on Wall Street (Bears Stearns and others), worked in the private equity arena (Salem Partners), and as CEO of a small software company (IP Group). Right now I am living in Delray Beach, Florida and taking care of my mother. So far we are doing fine and taking it day to day.
