PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT 2004-2007: Adult Literacy and Numeracy Support Worker - The Learning Shop, Stornoway HS1 2BW. Teaching literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills to adults with diverse needs.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY 1997-2000: Labour market researcher - Western Isles Careers Service, Stornoway. Research and publish - via Internet and dtp - sectoral guides to employment areas. Maintain and develop Careers web page.

1991-1997: Editor - Centre for Medical Education, University of Dundee. Advise on, edit, sub-edit and proof-read documents and software - from academic papers to a 400-page guide on palliative care. Maintain personal and jointly maintain Centre’s web pages. Literature retrieval via internet, in-house database and CD-ROM. Teach writing, editing, computer and bibliographic skills on short courses. Evaluate, install and demonstrate various software.

1989-91: Instructor - Deetext, SAMH, 4 Staffa Place, Dundee. Established new computer and office-skills project. Responsible for ten Employment Trainees (age 23-59), who had mental-health problems. Recruit and assess trainees.
