Lowell Stewart is a software engineer, musician and erstwhile graphic designer currently residing in the United States of America. He studied at Brigham Young University, where in 1995 he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in German Literature. His coursework also included significant studies in Music and Computer Science. Though raised in the United States, Lowell also spent several years of his adult life living abroad in Switzerland and Scotland. He is currently married to wife Jennifer, and has three daughters.

Lowell has been programming computers since 1979, the day his father first brought home a new Apple II+. He is currently employed by LexisNexis, where he has been working as a software engineer since 1995. The majority of that time has been spent performing design and development of document automation systems. His areas of expertise include Microsoft Windows, C++, C#, user experience and user interface design, SQL, Javascript and DHTML. He is also an avid Mac user and amateur developer on that platform.

Outside of family and work, Lowell enjoys music, travel, and reading as hobbies. He has performed and traveled extensively with a variety of amateur and professional vocal ensembles.
