PhD in Biophysics from International School for Advanced Science (SISSA), Trieste Italy, 1997.

Postdoctoral training in Neuroscience at Duke University Medical Center (Durham, USA) and NIEHS/NIH (RTP, USA), 1998-2003;

Present position:

Group leader and docent of Neurobiology, Neurosceince Center, University of Helsinki, Finland, 2003-present.

Other expertise: music (multiinstrumentalist, intermediate level; vocal, advanced level), poetry and songwriting(in Russian, Italian and English).
