I have a BA/MM in music education from Wis.
State College-Eau Claire/Northern Illinois Univ.
respectively as well as an MA in library science from
the latter. I achieved Ph.D. candidacy @ Northwestern
Univ., Evanston, IL in 1972. My first love is reading
serious chamber music. After that, I'm a freelance
writer who lived/taught/worked in Japan for 32 years
including stints as a broadcast journalist on
TV-Asahi, NTV, & NHK-TV. My current position as bass
trombonist may be seen @

My ideas about group think may be seen @

I have other paid work online, the links to which
seem to be inoperative. My magnum opus is an
autobiography written for the American Overseas
Schools Historical Society with the working title of:
"Soothe the Savage Breast: the Memoirs of a Mad
Musician" currently in MS form, which I hope to
complete soon. I have a MySpace site with blog
dealing with fine arts, politics, social issues,
Japan, etc.
