Frank R. Harrison III, Ph.D. Prof. Harrison received his B.A. from The University of the South (Sewanee) with Optimen Merens and Honors, and both his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. He is Josiah Meigs Distinguished Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Georgia. This has been his “professional base” since 1962. He also has taught at Roanoke College, Emory University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and the University of Keele in England as well as lecturing in many parts of the United States, Mexico, Korea, and Europe.

His professional interests are broad, ranging from Ancient Philosophy to Philosophy of Religion and Symbolic Logic. He has written several books and monographs on symbolic logic and critical thinking, published numerous articles in foreign and domestic journals, and presented research papers at various meetings, seminars and the like. He enjoys both research and teaching.

As an active Episcopalian Prof. Harrison often gives lectures and seminars to both clergy and layity concerning theology and the current state of the Church. He views himself a moderate between the far left anti-everything and the far right liberal pro-everything "theology" prevalent in a good deal of today's Church
