I originally began as a student of engineering, so I have a lot of math and science on my undergrad transcript. I switched to social sciences due to my interest in philosophy and politics, and the so-called "War on Poverty" and the civil rights movement, which were current at the time. When I eventually chose a major, I picked sociology, reasoning that it was halfway between psychology and economics, or that both of those would feed into that field.

I began the wiki "Unitarian-Universalist Encyclopedia" because there was none existent, and there were Catholic, Jewish, Evangelical and Eastern Orthodox encyclopedias. At present, it is mostly links, awaiting experts to write original articles. But we do have over 2,000 links, so it is already useful. (I have searched in vain for a Muslim encyclopedia in English, mainly for a second view on such topics as the crusades or Palestine.)
