-Word limit? Fifty words. Alright, I can do that. I'm eighteen. I have been lurking wikipedia, conservapedia, and various news sites for a while now, but I have decided, finally, that I should start contributing. I am starting here because the process seems far more interesting than what I'm already used to (Wikipedia: highlights the problems of direct democracy. Conservapedia: highlights the problems of a theocracy). I've always thought a government of scientists and learned types would be incredibly interesting, so I thought this would be a neat "social" experiment.
-Okay. Qualifications. I've lived all over the south, but I have been raised in a northern manner (not sure if that counts, but cultural knowledge has its own inherent value too). I'm a passionate member (or will be) of the Democratic party, and I plan to make my first political contribution over the summer (30$ for a Obama-2012 shirt, oh yes). I want to get involved in the Young Democrat group at the University I will be attending this fall. In high school, I have taken almost as many dual enrollment and AP courses as possible. I plan to major in Biology, while minoring in Psychology. I am accepted and will be attending the University of Richmond as an undergraduate, and I hope to be the first in my family to receive a doctorate... So in short, I have little to no qualifications, but I will be slowly gaining them.
-I really appreciate the powerfuk thing on the humor page. Oh Nixon... You make conservatives look so bad. It's a good thing that someone who wasn't actually elected by the people of America hasn't replaced you as the stain on their (the Republican party) repuatation. Oh wait... And if those two shining examples of conservative idiocy aren't enough, I'm sure we could look farther back and... Oh! It's a Raygun (SDI), made by Reagan! Isn't that just great? If only it was effective at shooting down missiles as it is at irony...
