I have a Ph.D. in experimental nuclear physics from the University of Liverpool (U.K.) and post-doctoral experience in nuclear medicine. My research has seen me involved in both pure and applied nuclear physics, searching for super-heavy elements and developing new cameras for nuclear medicine. I also have a masters in radiation physics and have first-hand experience of the nuances of radiation interactions. I am currently involved with nuclear safety in the U.K.
