I grew up in Memphis, TN as the oldest of four children. I received my BSEE from Christian Brothers University in May 1993; the same year, I also finished AFROTC at Memphis State University as a distinguished graduate and was subsequently commissioned as an officer in the USAF. During my Air Force career, I served as both a Flight Test Engineer and Communications Officer. After leaving the Air Force in 1998, I became a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) in March 1999. I worked for Cisco Systems for six years as a consulting engineer and in their product development group. I now work as an independent contractor, providing design consulting services for Cisco networking products.

My interests: the Denver Broncos, Computer networking, computer programming, Christian history / theology, investing and secular history.

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Peter Ingerman 18:49, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
