I am Teacher of English at a comprehensive secondary School. I have been teaching for five years. Prior to teacher training I was a learning support assistant. I worked as an assistant in a school for children with moderate learning difficulties and the emotionally and behaviourally disturbed. As a teacher I have taught students across the spectrum of ability from Year 7(11 year olds) to Year 13 (second year of A-level). I was also a Special Educational Needs Coordinator for a year but this didn't work out due to a lack of time and funding. I'm currently the English departments Key Stage three coordinator, which means I'm responsible for students from the moment they enter secondary school up until their S.A.T. exams. I have a 2:1 in Language and stylistics in English and Literary Studies in English and a post graduate certificate in Education. In addition to my paper qualifications I have a wealth of experience in education to draw upon. Therefore I am primarily interested in Literature, English language study and Education.
