I graduated from Youngsville High School in Youngsville, PA and attended Lycoming college and Penn State before settling on Seton Hill College (now University) in Greensburg, PA where I earned degrees in English and music. As an undergraduate, I wrote small work on spiritual autobiography which was published by the Sisters of Charity. I also took classes in theology and history but didn't manage a minor in either of them. I later did some graduate coursework in English at Clarion University. Since college, I was head librarian of the Youngsville Public Library for three years, but I have also been a community college tutor for the disabled, a short order cook, a deli cook, petsitter, and now a substitute teacher. I also make and sell handknitted socks and mittens and jam and jelly around the holidays. I have many interests, reading and writing chiefly among them, though I have left fiction for history. I also do fiber arts like knitting, spinning, and dyeing, hope to take up weaving. I spend a lot of time listening to music and some time playing music though not as much as I would like.
