I am, among other things, a Ph.D. candidate in philosophy, translator (several northern European languages to English), writer, and musician.

I live most of the year in Stockholm, part of the year in Los Angeles.

Those interests of mine about which I can write with expertise (evidence in the form of a Ph.D. will be available sometime in the not too distant future...):

• German philosophy, esp. German idealism (Kant, Hegel, Fichte and Schelling) and Nietzsche, but also Heidegger and Adorno.

• Philosophy in general (but not much contemporary Anglo-American philosophy).

Those interests of mine about which I can write with considerable knowledge, though not necessarily expertise.

• Life-extension (I wrote a pop. science book about life-extension a few years ago), esp., the relation between diet and aging.

• Music theory.

• European anti-Americanism (am currently writing a book about this).
