I have a decade of experience in technology in education. I taught computers and technology at the Edgartown School on Martha's Vineyard, and currently work at Hunter College Campus Schools in Manhattan, where I work as an instructional designer. I am primarily responsible for integrating technology into the curriculum, and supporting teachers in the classroom with technology.

I deeply believe computers and technology can strengthen, deepen, and broaden our learning. I see students spending more time evaluating and analyzing information rather than simple memorization and categorization. I see how students can really extend their learning with technology. I have spent quite a bit of time trying to fit computer games into the classroom, and have spoken at various conferences about how games can fit into public education. Here's some writing I've done about games in the classroom http://www.mackenty.org/index.php/games_work/ . I also have a list of past press/speaking events: http://www.mackenty.org/index.php/conference_notes/
