Scott Munden currently works as Vice President for Charles MacPherson Associates Inc. (CMA), which is a firm that consults with high-net-worth individuals on the management of luxury residences. Scott is also the Registrar for The Charles MacPherson Academy for Butlers and Household Managers. As a government-registered private career college, the school is one of a kind in North America.
Prior to joining CMA in 1997, Scott attended Queen’s University at Kingston where he completed his Masters in History within 1 year as opposed to the usual 2 years it takes to complete the program. His thesis “Oscar Wilde and the Fin de Siècle,” placed Wilde’s trials in the context of the period’s generalized anxiety over perceived challenges to the culture of masculinity. The thesis was awarded a departmental second place.
Scott's role with CMA makes use of the writing, research and time management skills he acquired while pursuing his studies. Further, his experience as a teaching assistant while at Queen's University has allowed him to make a valuable contribution to the development of a curriculum for The Charles MacPherson Academy. Scott has helped to grow the business from an operation based in a single city to one that successfully completes complicated projects from around the world.
