My sandbox

Sam Nazari is currently a graduate student at the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University where he is completing his Thesis on State Dependent Methods in Nonlinear Optimal Control and Estimation. He also works full time as an Application Engineer for the MathWorks. Prior to joining the MathWorks, Sam worked in the Aerospace Industry for 7 years. His research interests are Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Optimization, Statistical Signal Processing,Optimal Control and LMI's.

Although he has settled in the Boston area, Sam most recently lived in Manhattan where he worked as a business development manager for a prominent radar systems company. Sam has traveled his whole life, including living in Istanbul, Tokyo and Tehran. Prior to graduate school, Sam "backpacked" all of Europe with a friend, exploring its urban architecture and history.
