I fulfilled a lifelong ambition and became a secondary science teacher in 2001. During my previous profession as an NFPA certified marine chemist, I saw much of the world above and below the decks of every type, size, and shape of marine vessel that sails the sea. I received a BA in Chemistry & Physics from the University of North Florida in 1975. I have also completed extensive post graduate studies in chemistry and industrial hygiene. I received a M. Ed. in Instructional Design and Curriculum Development from Texas Tech in August 2010.

My professional background includes supervisory laboratory experience and consulting in organic chemistry, marine chemistry, industrial hygiene and industrial safety. I have delivered numerous papers at national seminars sponsored by the NFPA, Texas Science Teachers (CAST), and the Marine Chemists Association.

My teaching experience in public schools includes: secondary mathematics, chemistry, physics, general science, & Far Out Science. I also maintain and support a web based business including shared hosting and dedicated servers.
