My father is Distinguished Professor Emeritus (SUNY at Buffalo) of Social Psychology Dean G. Pruitt. My great-grandfather on my father side is noted Chines missionary C.W. Pruitt. My great-grandmother his wife is also of some note and a missionary in her own right, Anna Seward Pruitt. My great-aunt, their daughter, is noted China author and aide worker, Ida Pruitt.
