Welcome!
Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Dan Nachbar 08:25, 5 December 2007 (CST)
- Carl-- welcome aboard! as a fellow refugee from Wikipedia's hatred of experts, I can assure you of a warm environment at CZ. do send me your email--Richard Jensen = [email protected] Richard Jensen 12:13, 5 December 2007 (CST)
- Ditto! I was interested to read your thing about your experience at Wikipedia. I had a similar experience, which lead to me basically ceasing contributions, and was moved to write a far less scholarly, and considerably more sarcastic parody of my experiences there; you might find it amusing. - Noel-- thank for your comments and the pointer to your hilarious spoof. Cheers, Carl--Carl Hewitt 17:16, 1 March 2008 (CST)

Welcome, new editor! We're very glad you've joined us. Here are pointers for a quick start. Also, when you get a chance, please read The Editor Role. You can look at Getting Started and our help system for other introductory pages. It is also important, for project-wide matters, to join the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list. Announcements are also available via Twitter. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any administrator for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and thank you! We appreciate your willingness to share your expertise, and we hope to see your edits on Recent changes soon. --Larry Sanger 09:21, 6 December 2007 (CST)
